Methodical Living, Inc., including programs offered through Methodical Leadership, provides nonprofit leadership-development, educational, coaching, faith-based, and personal-development programs and resources.
Because our programs may address emotional wounds, trauma, neuroscience, relationships, behavioral patterns, faith, forgiveness, personal experiences, and leadership formation, it is important that participants understand the nature and limitations of our Services.
Methodical Living, Inc. is a nonprofit organization.
Methodical Leadership is a program and brand operated by Methodical Living, Inc.
Methodical Leadership courses, coaching, workshops, educational resources, and related programs are provided in furtherance of Methodical Living’s nonprofit mission.
Financial contributions associated with participation help support Methodical Living’s programs, operations, educational resources, outreach, and continued delivery of mission-related services.
A contribution associated with a course, coaching service, event, educational resource, or other participant benefit should not automatically be assumed to be fully tax-deductible.
Depending upon the circumstances and benefits received, a contribution may be fully deductible, partially deductible, or not deductible.
Where goods or services are received in return for a contribution, applicable tax law may limit the deductible portion to the amount, if any, exceeding the fair-market value of those goods or services.
Methodical Living does not provide individual tax advice. Participants and contributors should consult their tax professional regarding their individual circumstances.
Methodical Living and Methodical Leadership programs are provided as nonprofit educational, coaching, leadership-development, personal-development, and faith-based Services.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, our Services do not constitute:
Psychotherapy
Mental-health counseling
Psychological treatment
Psychiatric treatment
Medical care
Diagnosis of a mental-health or medical condition
Clinical trauma therapy
Crisis intervention
Legal advice
Licensed professional counseling
Participation does not create a physician-patient, therapist-client, psychologist-patient, licensed counselor-client, or other licensed healthcare relationship.
Our programs may use terms such as “trauma,” “emotional wounds,” “triggers,” “attachment,” “memory,” “unmet emotional needs,” “brain response,” “personal logic,” and related terminology.
These terms are used within an educational, leadership-development, and faith-based context unless expressly stated otherwise.
The use of psychological, clinical, or neuroscience terminology should not be interpreted as diagnosis or clinical treatment.
A course may help you recognize a pattern. Recognition is not diagnosis.
A coaching conversation may help you explore a response. Exploration is not psychotherapy.
An educational exercise may encourage reflection upon a past experience. Reflection is not clinical trauma treatment.
Certain Methodical Living programs intentionally explore the relationship among biblical principles, faith, neuroscience, leadership, human behavior, and personal formation.
We recognize that scientific study can illuminate aspects of human behavior, development, and experience, while biblical study and truth provide a framework through which faith-based participants may understand purpose, identity, relationships, leadership, forgiveness, and renewal.
References to neuroscience or psychological research are educational and are not intended to establish medical conclusions about individual participants.
Spiritual instruction is likewise not represented as a substitute for appropriate medical or mental-health treatment.
Spiritual care, coaching, education, and professional clinical care can serve different purposes.
Some exercises may invite participants to consider experiences involving childhood, family relationships, leadership experiences, loss, rejection, affirmation, security, acceptance, respect, connection, forgiveness, or other meaningful areas of life.
You determine what you choose to disclose.
Participants should never feel obligated to publicly reveal details of traumatic, deeply personal, or confidential experiences merely to participate in a Methodical Living or Methodical Leadership program.
Our guiding principle is:
You do not have to share your story to recognize your pattern.
Participants are encouraged to maintain appropriate personal boundaries.
Coaching is a collaborative developmental process.
A coach may help participants:
Clarify goals
Identify patterns
Explore leadership responses
Develop greater self-awareness
Consider alternative responses
Establish accountability
Strengthen communication
Apply educational principles
Develop leadership practices
Reflect upon faith and personal formation
Participants remain responsible for their decisions and actions.
Coaches do not provide medical diagnoses, prescribe medication, provide psychotherapy, or replace licensed mental-health professionals.
When circumstances appear to extend beyond the appropriate scope of coaching, a coach may recommend that the participant consult an appropriately qualified professional.
Some experiences require expertise beyond the scope of education or coaching.
Participants should consider seeking assistance from an appropriately licensed healthcare or mental-health professional when dealing with significant psychological distress, trauma requiring clinical treatment, severe depression or anxiety, substance-use concerns, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, psychiatric symptoms, abuse, or other circumstances requiring professional evaluation or treatment.
Participation in Methodical Living programs should not be used as a reason to delay, discontinue, or disregard treatment recommended by a qualified healthcare professional.
Methodical Living instructors, facilitators, and coaches do not provide medical advice concerning medication or medical treatment unless an individual is separately acting within an applicable professional license and expressly identifies that separate professional role.
Participants should not discontinue, alter, or begin medication or medical treatment based solely upon information presented in a Methodical Living or Methodical Leadership course, coaching session, workbook, presentation, video, or resource.
Questions concerning medication or medical treatment should be directed to an appropriately licensed healthcare professional.
Methodical Living and Methodical Leadership are not crisis-response services.
If you believe that you may harm yourself or another person, or you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, seek immediate professional assistance.
In the United States, call 911 for an immediate emergency or call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Participants outside the United States should contact appropriate emergency or crisis services in their location.
If information communicated to Methodical Living reasonably indicates a credible and imminent risk of serious physical harm, we may take reasonable steps to address the safety concern, including contacting appropriate emergency services or authorities when permitted or required by law.
Courses, workshops, cohorts, and other programs may include group discussion.
Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others and refrain from sharing another participant’s personal disclosures outside the group without permission.
Methodical Living cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality.
Participants should therefore exercise discretion when discussing sensitive information in group environments.
Some faith-based Methodical Living programs may address forgiveness, reconciliation, grace, obedience, confession, restoration, or related biblical principles.
Within our programs, forgiveness should not be interpreted as automatically requiring reconciliation, restored trust, continued access, removal of appropriate boundaries, or remaining in an unsafe relationship or environment.
Forgiveness and reconciliation are not necessarily synonymous.
Restoration of trust may require appropriate boundaries, accountability, changed behavior, safety, and time.
Nothing within a Methodical Living or Methodical Leadership program should be interpreted as directing an individual to remain in an abusive, threatening, exploitative, coercive, or otherwise unsafe situation.
Participants should maintain appropriate personal and safety boundaries and seek qualified assistance when necessary.
Personal, spiritual, relational, and leadership development differs among individuals.
Methodical Living does not guarantee that participation will result in a particular:
Leadership outcome
Relationship outcome
Emotional outcome
Spiritual outcome
Professional outcome
Business outcome
Financial outcome
Organizational outcome
Testimonials, case studies, participant stories, and examples illustrate individual experiences and do not guarantee future results.
Programs may use hypothetical, composite, anonymized, biblical, or otherwise authorized case studies to illustrate educational concepts.
Unless expressly identified as a factual account of a specific individual, examples should not be assumed to represent an identifiable person’s complete circumstances.
By participating in Methodical Living or Methodical Leadership Services, you acknowledge that personal and leadership development requires individual judgment and responsibility.
You remain responsible for deciding:
What information you disclose
Which voluntary exercises you participate in
How you apply educational concepts
Whether you require professional or clinical assistance
What personal boundaries you maintain
What leadership decisions you make
What relationship decisions you make
How you apply faith-based principles to your circumstances
Educational information provides resources and frameworks for consideration. It does not make personal decisions for you.
Methodical Living, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, and contributions support its nonprofit mission.
However, nonprofit status alone does not make every payment or program contribution tax-deductible.
Where a participant receives coaching, course access, educational materials, event admission, or other goods or services in connection with a contribution, the value of those benefits may affect the amount, if any, that is deductible.
Methodical Living may provide acknowledgments or disclosures as appropriate or required but does not provide individual tax advice or determine a contributor’s personal tax treatment.
Participants and contributors should retain relevant documentation and consult a qualified tax professional regarding their circumstances.
